Home Information Packs, more commonly known as a HIP, contains a variety of documents about a property being offered for sale and will be mandatory for sellers of four bedroom properties from 1st August 2007.
The law will require all sellers of residential property to obtain a HIP before
marketing a property for sale and to make it available to buyers on request.
The introduction of HIPs, with all the elements that are involved, will have
an impact on the time it takes for homeowners to legally place a property
on the open market.
